5k fantastic

Running sure feels awesome, especially during the post-Christmas months. The air is cool and a lot of people are doing their respective rounds, all of them burning off the excess holiday fat, I suspect. Also, Zorro was there, of course! Sporting a new racer-type mask and taking down notes on his imaginary pad with an imaginary pen, occasionally talking on his imaginary phone. Funny, that guy. He speaks in straight English, too!

Hmmm. Then again, it could all be real! He could be some undercover government/anti-government/alien agent disguised as a crazy guy for a more harmless person effect. What if the glove he's wearing is some sort of fingerprint-capturing device that reads a person's hand during an occasional high five he throws out?? HIDE THE CHILDREN! GATHER THEM PUPPY DOGS! THE WORLD IS ENDING AS WE KNOW IT!!

...Yeah. Anyways, I initially planned on doing a 10k but settled with a 5k during my 3rd kilometer after hearing my tummy do a five-second alto. I walked a good 50 meters before ending, all the while taking in the beauty of UP and its community. By 6:30pm, I decided to go home.

That's it, basically. Here's to keeping the ball rolling from now on!

It's been THAT long?

Wow. More than a year of no writing! ...and I realize I've nothing to say. Talk about progress!

Anyway, I've been at a running low since November and the consequences are showing. (hello, belly flab!) I've been swimming and taking occasional long walks as replacement, though! However, the amount I spend working out isn't enough, and this disappoints me. Re-learning the processes of time management is in order, starting tomorrow!

I've also been meaning to get a new pair of running shoes as my old pair has decided to go missing, though I feel it's probably off enjoying itself with someone who actually uses it. Note to self: never take good things for granted! (there is sense somewhere in that statement)

Also, reading old blog entries from LJ has actually given me more motivation to work out. Here's to hoping that it actually works! Tomorrow, Acad Oval. You and me.
